Great opportunity exists as a Mental Health Worker in our Intensive Community Support Program in Quincy.  Join our professional team to provide specialized care to consumers in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting.

Responsibilities include: facilitating individual treatment planning; participating in recreational, therapeutic and coping activities; encouraging consumer health through proper diet and activities of daily living; and maintaining a secure, safe setting.

Housed within Aspire Health Alliance’s Emergency Services Program in Quincy, Intensive Community Support (ICS) is available to adults referred by the Department of Mental Health who have lost their housing, are experiencing a need for increased support, or are transitioning back into the community from a hospital setting. Staffed by a mental health worker, the open, five-bed residential unit provides clients with stability as they connect with the resources and services needed to achieve independent living. During their stay, clients participate in structured therapeutic activities between 9:00 and 5:00, while caseworkers provide support with medication management, appointment follow up, transportation, and other daily tasks necessary to successful transition. An ICS mobile team is also available for clients in need of short-term support services within the communities where they live.

Bachelor’s degree is required

Required Skills

  • Ability to work with individuals needing intensive support and supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in crisis situations
  • Good communications skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Access to a personal vehicle for outreach and client 

Required Experience

  • BA/BS in Psychology or related field is required
  • Previous experience working with individuals with mental health issues
  • Prior experience working in an acute mental health setting is preferred
  • MAP certification will be required
