The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is excited to announce an opening for a part-time Industrial Electricity Adjunct Instructor. This position allows you to work on an as-needed basis during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., giving you the opportunity to share your expertise with aspiring electricians in a supportive and engaging environment. We are looking for a knowledgeable instructor who is proficient in commercial and industrial electrical wiring, the National Electrical Code, AC and DC theory, motor controls, solid-state electronics, electric motor transformers, branch circuit protection, fuse sizing, and motor overload protection. Job Duties

The instructor will also focus on student recruitment, placement, and follow-up to support student success. Minimum Qualifications
• Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED • Graduate of a post-secondary technical program or apprenticeship training • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• Teaching experience is a plus • Earned an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution • Knowledge of Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) policies and procedures

Physical Demands / Working Conditions&nbsp;The workday has the potential to be varied based on the needs of the students and faculty. Lab and material prep will always be necessary daily, and the requirement to move between classrooms and work areas, often with materials and supplies. Overseeing a lab also involves standing and walking. Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, and reach overhead, and lift a minimum of 20+ pounds. Must be able to use tools or special devices to work.
Salary: Hourly rate is $30
