Job Duties:

Assist with monitoring processes and procedures associated with OSHA course pre-requisites, certificates, etc. Assist with the identification of new qualified personnel to teach/conduct OSHA and related safety and health (RSH) courses. Visit training sites to conduct observations and instructor evaluations. Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Three years of related experience. Must possess current OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer Card. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field OR hold a current Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential. Experience teaching Outreach Training Program classes (10- and 30-hour classes). Experience teaching OSHA Training Institute Education Center classes. POSITION SUMMARY The Allied Health Educator is responsible for effectively developing, maintaining and providing health careers training for the College’s non-credit workforce programs, which include both continuing education for professional development and industry-recognized credential attainment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides training for non-credit health careers classes. Evaluates and reports program progress. Maintains communication with clinical partners. Establishes and maintains appropriate records for each student. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
Set and honor scheduled office hours for student conferences. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as an academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and
Evidence of initial AOTCB or NBCOT certification
Hold current, or be eligible for, Tennessee licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant
Prior clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or as an Occupational Therapist who has worked with Occupational Therapy Assistants
Collegiate level teaching experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrate a high level of collegiality and professionalism.

Rate of Pay: $42,163 to $52,703 annually, depending on experience
